The intention of this blog is to create an ongoing dialogue based on the premise that “CRU is for everyone.” CRU (more formally: Campus Crusade for Christ) is a community of college students who seek to encounter, experience, and express the love of Jesus Christ.
We desire to be a group of people who are actively seeking what it means to have a relationship with God—and hopefully living differently as a result of that relationship. We believe living differently includes (among other things), welcoming all people regardless of their ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, physical well-being, emotional well-being or even religious beliefs.
Beyond just a welcoming spirit, we believe that as followers of Jesus, we are called to love all people as He has demonstrated His love for us. At CRU, we hold our beliefs in the highest regard, but, we don’t see that as limiting us from interacting with people who are simply different, or believe differently. So the reason we have put up posters all over campus and bombarded you with flyers comes from our deep desire for people to know that CRU is truly for all people.
CRU intends to be a community where you can feel loved, feel the freedom to explore what you believe, and hopefully connect with some people who have a genuine concern for you as an individual—regardless of where you are coming from.
