CSU CRU...

The intention of this blog is to create an ongoing dialogue based on the premise that “CRU is for everyone.” CRU (more formally: Campus Crusade for Christ) is a community of college students who seek to encounter, experience, and express the love of Jesus Christ.

We desire to be a group of people who are actively seeking what it means to have a relationship with God—and hopefully living differently as a result of that relationship. We believe living differently includes (among other things), welcoming all people regardless of their ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, physical well-being, emotional well-being or even religious beliefs.

Beyond just a welcoming spirit, we believe that as followers of Jesus, we are called to love all people as He has demonstrated His love for us. At CRU, we hold our beliefs in the highest regard, but, we don’t see that as limiting us from interacting with people who are simply different, or believe differently. So the reason we have put up posters all over campus and bombarded you with flyers comes from our deep desire for people to know that CRU is truly for all people.

CRU intends to be a community where you can feel loved, feel the freedom to explore what you believe, and hopefully connect with some people who have a genuine concern for you as an individual—regardless of where you are coming from.

Hi! My name is Stephanie, and I really enjoy dance parties and CRU! Together these two things are my favorite things to do! The community that is found at CRU is absolutely amazing and they say that college is the best time of your life and I couldn't agree more! However I do attribute this to the amazing people I have met through CRU! If you are looking for a strong community CRU is definitely a place that will allow you to meet a TON of people who love God and want to glorify him in all that they do! Come hang out with us on Thursdays at 8:00pm!

MEET JERED!

Hello and welcome to the CRU at CSU blog. My name is Jered and I just wanted to share with you briefly about my experience within CRU. I have been apart of CRU for the last four years and let me tell you that CRU radically changed my life! Coming to college was a stressful and exciting time of my life and I didn't really know what to expect! But after much failure in my life both academically, and socially I came to an all time low, and through CRU I found a personal relationship with Jesus and my life has not been the same. Not only did I find the God of the universe but I also found great friends who I could walk through life together with and I am so grateful for this ministry and what they are doing in the lives of college students! Want to hear more about my experience or have any questions regarding CRU please e-mail me at Jered.Lish@gmail.com!

MEET BRITTANY!

Hi my name is Brittany and I have been apart of CRU for the last 3 years and let me tell you that had I not had CRU in my life I don't where I would be today! Upon coming to college I was really nervous about whether I would meet genuine people who cared about me and loved me for who I was, and through CRU I found that. Its amazing to be around people who love Jesus and live a life centered around him. I have met some of my best friends through CRU and together we have been able to grow in life together which as been such a blessing! So definitely come and experience genuine community where you can grow in your relationship with God and others too! Also interested in getting connected to a bible study or getting involved with leadership please shoot me an e-mail at short23@simla.colostate.edu!
